Day 29: Forever outlining
I remember learning how to outline back in elementary school. Roman numerals. Capital letters. Arabic numbers and lower case letters with and without parentheses. It was all very orderly and structured. Fast forward too many years to count and I am again outlining my work. It's not as interesting as it was back then though. I don't have multicolored pens. I am not writing on fancy brown lined paper with "Hang Ten" feet imprinted in the corner. I'm not listening to Madonna or Michael Jackson. It's just me with my Torts notes and briefs typing out what I should have gleaned thus far. I am surprised to see that not only is there an awful lot I should know, but how little of it I have retained for the reason it is important to the law. For instance, lecherous old man sexually abuses 12 and 15 year-old sisters for over a year. His wife, their parents, no adult did anything to stop the unsupervised visits to ride and care for horses. Wife is as guilty as he is. Why? Well, the take-away is that foreseeability informs duty, of course. But I bet you already knew that. =D HAHAHAHAHA
