Day 18: Who are these people?

Today I spent some time with my nemesis, Contracts. We sparred over what constitutes a material breach, which is ultimately a fundamental breach of what is at the core of the contract itself. Contracts won some; I almost won others. We (OK, I) call it a draw. =) Contracts questions what happens in the face of a breach, who gets remedies, and how all that is determined? But my questions are more fundamental: "who ARE these people in these cases?????" I mean what kind of company sues somebody for not wanting their hearing aid? What kind of shoddy builder have you hired who didn't notice your living room was a foot too narrow? And most importantly who does business with these people??? I propose the answers to my quandaries are a the heart of the problem and believe that once those are settled, the breach and all its blame will fall squarely into place. However, if my Contracts professor felt strongly enough about it, he would counter my assertion not necessarily with the contrary, but that "the answer is a solid maybe". (I don't make this stuff up, people)
