Day 28: The forgotten post
I never tire of learning about me through the process of law school. Friday in Contracts the recent $5 foot-long case was a hypo topic. And I have discovered that I am rather malleable about price and participation, but near dogmatic about the sandwich itself having to be a foot long when I go to eat it post purchase. There is something that screams to me this is a warranty of size after shaping, after baking, up until consumed. Could this belief have come from the slogan? Hmmm... I mean if I wanted an "almost foot-long" or a "pretty good size" sandwich I could dress myself, I could go to any run-of-the-mill sandwich shop and ask them to change the toppings for me. The foot-long IS my inducement to buy the sandwich. It is my considered opinion that if I am indeed shorted an inch with every sandwich then the whole frequent buyer card was just to make me and the shop even. Dare I say, it is not anything free or rewarding at all. I would have already paid for that "buyer reward"sandwich. However, I close by tipping my hat. Here is to you, Dear Nemesis, Contracts class, who has bested me once more; sucked me into the lunacy of contracts litigation; and incited me to argue with vehemence the only reason I buy a $5 foot long is because I only want to spent $5 on a foot long sandwich.
