Day 20: In the wrong room

I had a crappy last night that culminated into a trying this morning only marginally made better by a video in Torts on mediation where the insurance company attorney was downright disagreeable. I sat outside and chatted with a classmate waiting for the 12:15P Hispanic Law School Association meeting to start when a new friend passed by and told me to be sure to come to the meeting in 111. I hadn't realized he was in HLSA, but he seemed to be rather certain of the location. Went, but there were people inside seemingly well engaged in a seminar of some sort. Checked my email; meeting was 401. Ran up to 4, but found there was no one in 401. So went back down to 111 and was relieved to see the SBA President and HLSA member there; must be in the right spot. But just as I sat down, she got up and left me there ... in the Federalist Society meeting. (Yep, wrong room). Well, after contemplating the depth of rudeness with walking out after only having just walked in late, I decided to stay and listen to the speaker. And I am really glad I did! He argued that Conservatives should (and theoretically do) support gay marriage. WOW! Who would have thunk it? Happy to report, I was impressed and encouraged that there is hope for our fanatical right wing brethren to find that common ground to our beliefs and societal gains.
