Day 54: Proud of you

I am CRAZY excited for my friends who made it onto Moot Court. <squeal for you!> I am also a teensy bit jealous. =*) But most of all, I am proud for you that your countless hours of work paid off. Well done! My principles final is tomorrow but I am really distracted with breaking story after story of politicians coming out (pun intended) in support of gay marriage. More pointed for me is that in unrelated events it feels that an unprecedented number of rape cases is making the news. Now it is not that rape is new; it is that rape and random violence against women are currently noteworthy. I won't get on the soap box about the rights or wrongs around the crime. What I will say is kudos and high praise to the women and girls who are making their voices heard. I applaud you and your courage to stand against your own victimization and that of others even if it means you are demonized in your community. I support you!
