Day 41: I miss you, Contracts!

Last night I missed Donna Brazile speak at Loyola. For those of you who live under a rock, she is this AMAZING woman (even though she is from Kenner, Brah) who is a political strategist and Vice-Chair of the DNC. I am so irritated to have missed it and have been mad with me ever since. Fast forward to this morning, which collapsed into madness in no time flat. I missed Contracts because I had an externship interview this morning and hadn't finished editing my writing sample. (Ick!) Anyway, I went in frazzled with the very meager expectation of finding out more about the program and left CRAZY excited! The guy who runs the program told me about everything from placement and housing to the litigation and policy work one of the externs is doing under the Alien Tort Claims Act <shudder> and non-lawyer opportunities that could incredibly lucrative <squeal>. Have to work out some personal challenges (i.e. kids and a dog), but, barring acts of God, Fall is a lock.  Yay, me!
