Day 7 - The saga continued
Every day I am more impressed with the community at Loyola and thankful for all of "my people" especially the new ones who are taking this journey with me and helping me work towards my best interest. Today was the day for me to answer the question of whether to stay in Moot Court or defect to Principles of Legal Analysis. After 4 additional conversations and 3 electronic "talks", I have switched into Principles. And here is why: My advisor reminded me that I don't really have the time that Moot Court will demand cause it seems to have a life of its own. More importantly, I talked with the Principles instructor today and went over the course process and objectives. Principles should help me identify and correct whatever issues I had with my legal writing last semester (i.e. too prose-y), which will prove invaluable overall. Most of all, one of my favorite new peeps reminded me that the long term goal of law school is ... to pass the bar. Sure - I could probably kick @$$ in Moot Court. But this is about augmenting my weaknesses because right now playing to that strength isn't doing me any favors. So dosvedanya, Moot Court comrades. Best of luck over the next few months!
