Day 10: Pick your head up!

Today was my first day in Principles of Legal Analysis (the class I dropped Moot Court to take so I can hone my legal writing style because apparently it ain't right). By all accounts, this class is invaluable! And though the lowest 25% of the class is mandated to take it, I talked with a 3L who suggested it should be for the bottom 75%% because the applications are numerous. I even spoke with an instructor who confessed the 25% cut off is largely arbitrary, but suggested that maybe the bottom 50% would benefit from taking it. Regardless, there are a lot of writing exercises and I am happy to put them to use. I do however feel bad for my compadres who didn't get to chose to be there. They seemed by and large so unhappy and shamed today not being in Moot Court. I feel for them because every day they torment themselves anew with ideas of inadequacy and failure. Pick your heads up, Principles Brethren! Stand up and grab hold of your law school experience. This is merely a stepping stone on the way to passing the bar. I encourage you to find a way to make peace with yourself and your GPA in the interim. Let go of the negative!
