Law school chronicles, Friday week 12: Met with my Academic Success Counselor today and got the results of my first Torts hypo. Disclaimer: I totally ran out of time and didn't get to the second of 2 issues. Worse, I totally missed the crux of the proximate cause bit. Feedback: I seem to know what I am talking about, but my writing is too "prose-y". She reminded me that I am a lawyer and apparently we are simple-minded creatures who have to be led quickly and succinctly through the issue, rule, and analysis, to conclusion before we lose interest. And that just makes me wonder why opinions are so long and often dull.
